How can I forget this famous phrase that I used to hear with my brothers when we were in front of the television, ready to watch another episode of the number one television series that was born forty years ago and that when it arrived in Peru became the favorite not only of us children at that time, but also of our parents and even today our children are entertained by the antics of El Chavo and his neighborhood friends.
Precisely, those phrases became part of the lexicon among friends who adopted some of the Mexican terms since this series was born in Mexico but became very well known in many countries of Central and South America, therefore, its creator, the great Roberto Gómez Bolaños (Chespirito) is very loved in many countries.
The most popular quotes from El Chavo del 8 and the neighborhood personalities of that time:
"Don't hang out with that rabble!" – (Mrs. Florinda)
"Shut up, shut up, you're driving me crazy!" – (Quico)
“Tell your mom about it.” – (The Popis)
“Excuse me,” said Monchito… – (Don Ramón)
My children, who aren't lucky enough to watch the show on TV, first watched it on YouTube and fell in love with the characters, just as I did when I was a kid (don't ask me how long ago). Since then, they've had their favorite characters, "El Chavo" and "Ñoño," and mine has always been Chilindrina, because of her liveliness and big heart. She's kind of like me when I was a kid, but for the way I wear my sweater!
There's no doubt this show will go down in history, passed down from generation to generation, filling us with joy and laughter and, in the process, reminding us not to forget to preserve the child within us all.
I love El Chavo del 8! I watched it a lot, and I still watch it when I find it on TV. The figures are super cute, and I'd love to win one for my Kung Fu Baby!

Hello, my favorite character from El Chavo del Ocho is La Chilindrina. My 6-year-old daughter really likes this show, and when I tell her that I've been watching this show since I was little, she can't believe it. She thinks that they didn't show El Chavo del Ocho in my time.
