If it's a good cause, Mamá Latina in Philly is doing her part, especially because since I was a child, I've had to go to the cardiologist a couple of times when I felt symptoms that suddenly appeared and were frightening, and because I lost a dear friend to a heart attack.
This month, Macy's and the American Heart Association are joining forces to help raise awareness about the importance of preventing heart disease, as well as to raise funds that go directly to this cause.
Approximately 8 million women die from a heart attack, and it's the leading cause of death among Latinas. Therefore, it's important to be informed about how to take care of our health and also to know how to recognize the symptoms that precede heart disease.

How can we help?
Macy's will donate $1T4T2 to the American Heart Association's (AHA) "Go Red for Women" movement every time we send a Heart to our friends and family through their Facebook page.
Another way is to send love messages (in connection with Valentine's Day) on Twitter using hashtags. #heart and @macys And for each tweet, Macy's will also donate $1,422 up to $250,000, which would be a huge help to the AHA association.
Don't forget that February is the month of love, now we have the opportunity to show that love to our neighbors,

How cute! I love this idea. I'll definitely be participating!
