Through the streets of Houston during Latism12

It's incredible how time flies. Last weekend I was in Houston, TX, participating in the LATISM National Conference – Latinos in Social Media, the largest community of Latino social media professionals in the United States.

This year was amazing! There was so much to learn, share, and enjoy. The workshops were varied and organized by topic, especially in line with Latism's focus: Health, Technology, Business, and Education.
Apart from the talks and seeing the whole Latism family, this year I achieved one of my goals, which was to take a car ride through the streets of Houston, just like I did last year in Chicago during Latism11.
So, I was invited once again to test drive one of Toyota's latest cars. This time, I toured the streets of Houston in a Toyota Prius V. I must confess that every time I drive a Toyota, and as I told Megan (my co-driver, who was very brave to accompany me), I'm reminded of my dad and his first white Toyota, which must now belong in a museum. That car is forever in our memories; it took us on trips, to school, to college, and lasted us for years and years.
Back to my experience in Houston, I had a hard time finding the gear shift on this new Toyota model, but once I looked closely at the front panel, I was able to find it and I loved it!
When I saw the interior, the first thing that came to mind was everything I could carry in it when I went on a trip. I imagined my two children comfortably seated, with ample room for their books and toys, and enough space in the back to carry the things we normally take on trips. A super spacious car, smooth to drive, and one that inspires confidence due to its size and, above all, because it's a Toyota.
Thank you, Toyota! It was a pleasant experience!

Disclosure: This post was not paid for, Toyota sponsored me to attend the Latism12 conference and I want to emphasize that my opinion is honest and true.
